Last year, new wooden houses were built on the camp site.

The fire started at 11:30 p.m. Sept. 15. Witnesses say the fire alarm did not go off. Children woke up from smoke, and were quickly evacuated by mentors. A total of 150 kids were staying in Viktoria.

Three girls were killed in fire, aged 8, 9 and 12. Two deaths were confirmed officially after the fire was eliminated and their bodies found at the fire site. The death of 12-year-old Snizhana is yet to be verified - the girl went missing during the fire, and a bone was subsequently found on the site which might have belonged to her.

The heat from the fire was extreme and damaged balconies and windows in neighboring houses. One building of the camp burned down and collapsed.

42 kids were staying in the building that burned down. Some of them inhaled too much smoke, while others are in a state of shock. Three kids jumped out of the windows of the burning house. They were subsequently hospitalized with traumas and smoke poisoning.
