The Federal Security Service (FSB) has detained former employee of the Black Sea Fleet HQ Leonid Parkhomenko In Russian-occupied Sevastopol on suspicion of treason.

Censor.NET reports citing RIA "Novosti" quoting the FSB press service.


According to investigators, the retired captain of the 2nd rank collected classified Black Sea Fleet data. The FSB says he was an undercover agent of the Ukrainian Defense Intelligence.


Parkhomenko faces up to 20 years in prison for high treason.

On Aug. 10, the FSB issued a formal statement on the alleged prevention of a series of terrorist acts in occupied Crimea prepared by the Chief Directorate of Intelligence of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine and aimed against peninsula's critical infrastructure facilities. Several citizens of Ukraine Yevhen Panov, Andrii Zakhtei and Redvan Suleimanov were arrested as those involved in the case.Источник: https://censor.net.ua/en/v416310
