A resident of Russia-occupied Yalta attempted self-immolation in protest against the demolition of the cafe that he had rented for many years. Attention! The video is not recommended for people with unstable mentality and under 18 years!

As reported by Censor.NET, the man is a retiree and former official Oleksandr Strekalin. In the 90s, he served as deputy mayor of Yalta.

"We caught a glimpse of smoke and fire at the site behind the monument to Maxim Gorky. Everyone ran there. It turned out an old man set himself on fire. Police officers started putting out the flame with their clothes, and I called an ambulance that arrived shortly and took him away. He was still alive," a witness said.

As noted, the man received severe burns all over his body and stayed unconscious.
