As reported by Censor.NET, Sedikov said that Russian officers are actively involved in fighting against the Ukrainian armed forces as "advisers." They are also appointed commanders of militants' battalions.
The captive also dwelt on provocative shelling carried out by Russian proxies. According to him, prior to arrival in the Donbas, he was told about massive Ukrainian shelling of residential areas in the conflict zone. However, upon arrival he found the situation was different.
"Militants would fire two missiles here, two missiles there," he said, referring to provocative shelling conducted by Russian mercenaries both against Ukrainian and own positions and civilian areas.
Russian mercenary Alexey Sedikov, captured in the vicinity of Troitske several days ago, addressed his relatives with a request to visit him in Ukraine under the safeguards of the SBU.
