Eight border control systems to be supplied to Ukraine by US, - NSDC. VIDEO

The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine expects the U.S. to supply eight tactical tower systems for border monitoring by the end of 2016.

National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine First Deputy Secretary Oleh Hladkovskyi participated in a press conference held in Los Angeles on the occasion of the first delivery to Ukraine of early warning systems for monitoring the border, surveillance, and identification of enemy equipment movement, produced by the American Aeros Corporation.

The specifications of the system and installation video is available on the website of Aeros - the U.S. corporation founded by native of Ukraine Ihor Pasternak.


Earlier, Ukroboronprom reported that it expected to obtain production technology of these systems in the future.

Oleh Hladkovskyi is on a work trip in the United States, together with Head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Colonel-General Viktor Nazarenko. According to Hladkovskyi, the beginning of cooperation with Aeros Corporation, which will involve enterprises of Ukroboronprom state concern, was an important step on the way of bilateral Ukraine-U.S. cooperation to strengthen protection of the Ukrainian border.

"We expect two border control systems to be supplied later this year and six more in 2016," First Deputy to NSDC Secretary said having explained that these systems would "provide the opportunity to conduct around-the-clock surveillance of the border, which, in turn, will accelerate the appropriate response coordination."

Aeros CEO Ihor Pasternak and CA State Assemblyman Matt Dababneh also took part in the event.
