Weapons, money and gold coins, - SBU detained group of arms dealers in Mykolaiv. VIDEO

The Security Service and police detained in Mykolaiv four members of an organized group selling weapons and ammunition in the region.

The malefactors sold weapons to local criminals. The "goods" were smuggled into the region from the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area. One of group's members was detained while trying to sell a TT pistol.

During searches, law enforcers seized two AKS-74, one AK-47, one AKS-74U machine guns, 13 pistols, two of them with silencers, Shpagin machine pistol, three sub-machine guns, and one semi-automatic shotgun. The group possessed nine 45-mm artillery projectiles, 11 F-1 and RGD-25 grenades, VOG-25 fragmentation weapons, more than 2,000 rounds of different caliber, an improvised explosive device, etc. Law enforcers also found $19,000 in cash and 26 gold coins.

A criminal proceeding has been opened under Part 1, Art. 258-3 and Part 1, Art. 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Investigative actions aimed to establish all persons involved in the trafficking are underway.
