Ukraine-US training at Yavoriv range should continue, - US general. VIDEO

Joint exercises of Ukrainian and American soldiers currently underway at the Yavoriv range in the Lviv region should be continued in future.

As reported by Censor.NET citing Hordon, this was announced by the Chief of Staff of the Army of the U.S. general Raymond Thomas Odierno at a briefing in Yavoriv.

According to Odierno, one of the purposes of his visit was to estimate the progress and he was rather satisfied with the result. The general expressed an opinion on the necessity to continue training and promised to recommend this upon his return to the U.S.

According to him, joint training is beneficial for both Ukrainian and American sides. He stressed on the constant exchange of knowledge and experience between the U.S. paratroopers and the National Guard soldiers in the course of the training.

As reported earlier, the Fearless Guardian six-month Ukraine-U.S. training started at the Yavoriv range on April 20. More than 300 paratroopers from the U.S. army's 173rd Airborne Brigade arrived to Ukraine. The main purpose of the training is to develop professional skills of the National Guard servicemen.
