A barrel bomb allegedly containing chlorine gas was dropped from the helicopter of the Syrian government forces on the town of Saraqeb.

As reported by Censor.NET citing BBC, nine persons including White Helmet volunteers were injured in the attack.

Saraqeb (Idlib province) is controlled by the Syrian opposition. The Russian Su-25 jet was shot down over this town on Feb. 3.

According to the rebels, the bomb was dropped from a helicopter of the Syrian government forces.

White Helmet volunteers twitted the footage showing rescuers trying to alleviate the effects of chlorine gas by hosing the victims down with water.

Earlier, Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported downing of a Russian Su-25 warplane in Syria"s Idlib province on Feb. 3. The Russian Defense Ministry later confirmed the information and also reported that the pilot was killed on the ground after he ejected.
