SBU has halted destructive activities of Russian journalist Mariya Knyazeva, who worked for Rossiya-1 and Rossiya-24 TV channels from Ukraine under fake name of "Saushkina."

Censor.NET reports citing SBU press service.

SBU said the Russian woman was making use of her connections with pro-Russian media and experts in Ukraine, gathered information about the situation in the country, and activities of Ukraine's government bodies and security agencies.

"To prevent meddling by the aggressor country into the national media landscape, and to localize the threats in the information sector, M. Knyazeva was forcibly returned to Russia and banned from entering Ukraine for three years," the message says.

Earlier, SBU banned 140 Russian artists and celebrities from entering Ukraine.
