Darnytsia district court of Kyiv sentenced ex-deputy head of Ukraine’s Navy and Air Force Personnel Training Center in Crimea to eight years in jail for treason and desertion.

As reported by Censor.NET, Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine, Main Military Prosecutor Anatolii Matios wrote on Facebook.

The law enforcer wrote: "Darnytsia district court of Kyiv has sentenced medical service Lt. Col. S., Deputy Head of 'Sudak' Navy and Air Force Personnel Training Center for high treason, desertion and joining the ranks of the Russian army during the annexation of Crimea.

"The public prosecution was represented by Military Prosecutor of Kyiv's Darnytsia garrison Mykola Petryshen.

"The court passed the sentence today: the Colonel received eight-year imprisonment for multiple offenses.

"All national traitors will obtain their deserts," Matios wrote.
