One person killed, three injured as grenade explodes in Kropyvnytskyi military unit, - media. PHOTOS

One person was killed as a result of an explosion that occurred at the military base No.2336 at 31 Ordzhonikidze St. in Kropyvnytskyi (former Kirovohrad) today, Oct. 31.

As reported by Censor.NET, this was confirmed to Kirovohradska Pravda by the military unit's command.

According to preliminary information, one person died and three others received injuries as an f F-1 fragmentation defensive grenade exploded.

"Unfortunately, that did happen. Negligence is the most probable cause. Paramedics, rescuers, and police arrived at the scene," the military said adding that the explosion occurred in the barracks on the second floor.

The press office of the State Emergency Service Directorate in the Kirovohrad region also confirmed the fact of the explosion.

"We were reported about the blast. Our teams left for the scene. It was found upon arrival that the building sustained minor damage. These premises belong to the Kirovohrad region's civil protection, health and safety training center while its second floor is rented by the 3rd Special Operations Regiment," the State Emergency Service representative Viktoria Krokhmaliuk said.
