Doctor of Dynamo youth soccer school Yurii Tereshchuk has donated his gold and silver medals to volunteers of Narodnyi Tyl organization. He asked the group to sell them and spend the received funds on assistance to medics who currently work in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area in the east of Ukraine.

This was announced by volunteer Roman Sinitsyn on his Facebook page, Censor.NET reports.

"This is Yura. A doctor from the Dynamo youth soccer school. Yura worked with soccer players born between 1981-1989. Roman Zozulia, Kravets, Lysytskyi, Rybka, Oliinyk, Dovhyi and many other stars of Ukrainian and European football. ... Yura brought his medals to Narodnyi Tyl. He asked to sell them and buy something important for front line medics. This goes in addition to Yura's regular aid provided to our girls in cash and medicines.

"Units of volunteer medics (ASAP) who work near Popasna and Zaitseve need equipment for their ambulances. They need one machine for artificial lung ventilation (the most important!) as well as ECG recorders and defibrillators. This is about 43,000 hryvnia total ($1,769 - ed.). We would like to reach this amount," Sinitsyn noted.

For this purpose, the volunteers of Narodnyi Tyl organization decided to auction the medals.
