People's Front faction MP, Advisor to Ukraine's Interior Minister Anton Herashchenko wrote on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.
"The memorial event to honor and remember the perished police officers was attended by Prosecutor General Yurii Lutsenko, Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov, National Police Chief Khatia Dekanoidze, Dnipro Regional State Administration Head Valentyn Reznichenko, and Mayor of Dnipro Borys Filatov. The state will provide a one-time compensation in the amount of 725,000 hryvnia (about $28,000) to the families of the deceased. Olha and Artem's families will be also provided with one-bedroom apartments and receive survivors' pension," the lawmaker wrote.
"All of this will definitely not return parents murdered by a criminal to their children. May the memory of Artem Kutushev and Olha Mykhailenko live forever!" Herashchenko wrote.
As reported, a traffic law violator shot a patrol officer dead and wounded his female partner in Dnipro City Sunday morning. According to preliminary information, the patrol crew stopped a Citroen car for violation of traffic rules. The driver began to resist the police officers, made a few shots, and fled the scene. A male patrol officer died on spot, while his female partner officer did not survive a surgery. Later, the interior minister confirmed detention of a suspect in the murder.
Mayor Borys Filatov declared Monday, Sept. 26, a day of mourning for the murdered patrol police officers in Dnipro.
