 Canada issues Ukrainian traditional Easter egg-shaped silver coins. PHOTOS

The Royal Canadian Mint plans to issue oval coin with the Ukrainian 'pysanka' (Easter egg) pattern to commemorate the 125th anniversary of the foundation of the first settlement of Ukrainians in Canada.

Censor.NET reports citing Liga.

It will be reportedly the first oval-shaped coin. It will be made of silver and covered with color pattern featuring the one Easter eggs in Ukraine are traditionally decorated with. It was designed by Canadian artist Ann Morash.

Denomination of the coin is 20 Canadian dollars. A total of 4,000 of these unique coins will be released.
