The Security Service of Ukraine in conjunction with the border guards and the State Fiscal Service has found a warehouse with infringing merchandise.

Censor.NET reports citing the statement by the press center of the SBU.

It is noted that cigarettes found in the warehouse were produced in Russia and Belarus and were delivered to Ukraine from the Russian Federation.

"Law enforcement officers seized about 240 boxes of goods worth nearly two million hryvnia as well as 300,000 Russian rubles, $23,000, and 700,000 hryvnia in cash, and records with off-the book financial schemes during a search in one of the garage co-operatives in the city," the SBU noted.

According to the intelligence, the warehouse was also a transshipment base for delivery of smuggled goods in the temporarily occupied Horlivka, the Donetsk region.

Criminal proceedings were initiated under part 1 of the article 204 (illegal manufacturing, storage or sale of excisable goods) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
