Terrorist cop killer shot himself during arrest in Mariupol. PHOTOS

Early this morning, police officers of the Sokil special unit and units of the National Guard of Ukraine conducted a special operation in Mariupol to apprehend dangerous criminal Mykola Hrynenko. On February 23, 2015 he killed a Sokil officer and wounded two others.

This is stated by Head of the Donetsk region police Viacheslav Abroskin on his Facebook page, Censor.NET reports.

According to him, Hrynenko tried to leave his hiding place wearing women's clothing. When he realized that the house was surrounded, he committed suicide by shooting himself in the head.


An investigative team is currently working at the site.

"By the way, the regional police announced a reward in the amount of 100,000 hryvnia for information that would help catch this dangerous criminal. We have not received any information from the locals, so the money stays in our reward pool," Abroskin said.

"The criminal's hiding place has been found thanks to hard work of the staff of the Department of Criminal Investigation and the Donetsk [region] police. As a result of a well-planned raid, we did not allow the saboteur to leave the territory of Mariupol. I thank my colleagues for their service!" he added.
