The volunteer Azov regiment acting in the vicinity of Mariupol city announced an offensive towards Novoazovsk.

This was announced by the regiment's press service, Censor.NET reports.

"Azov went on the offensive! In the morning, the Azov regiment launched an offensive towards Novoazovsk. As of 8 a.m. in the morning, the village of Shyrokyne was seized. The intensity of fire is high. Both sides are using weapons of various calibers. The enemy employed armored vehicles. Russian aviation crossed the border three times, but did not conduct any strikes. Azov launches and offensive towards Sakhanka. To be continued!," the regiment announced.

"A first checkpoint towards Sakhanka has been seized. The enemy is retreating," Azov's press service added later.

Another message followed: "Pavlopil was liberated. We start to assault Oktiabr."
