"There are multiple casualties; they are being taken by the ambulances. Four or five ambulances have already left [the scene]. More ambulances are coming one by one. There is a lot of shattered glass around," said a correspondent for Kerch.FM news outlet, Censor.NET reports.

"Something happened in the dining-hall. There are armed people there," the local residents told the news outlet.
As of 12:25 p.m. it became known that additional ambulances were needed to evacuate all the victims. Public transport was involved in taking those wounded to the hospitals. Members of gas emergency service also arrived at the site.
There was lack of stretchers as of 12:36 p.m. Doors were used for carrying the wounded. A military vehicle also arrived at the scene. The law enforcers interview eyewitnesses who give descriptions of suspects.
According to unconfirmed reports, the explosion claimed up to ten lives.
"I was standing on the street with the guys when a powerful blast went off. The windows on two floors just fell out," an eyewitness told Kerch.Info.
"According to preliminary reports, an explosion followed by several pops occurred in one of the premises. The exact number of victims is being specified, there are many wounded," a source familiar with the matter told TASS news agency.
The emergency center deployed at the scene said at least 50 persons received injuries.
Crimea-based arm of the Russian EMERCOM rescue service said an explosion or a pop went off at the college. "We are so far trying to find out what it was. We are also counting casualties," agency head Vladimir Ivanov told Interfax news agency.
According to him, the building’s core structural components were not damaged.
