Several hundred policemen has cordoned off the building of the regional council. About 100 law enforcers are protecting the main entrance checking IDs of those who want to enter the building. Another hundred riot policemen stay in the backyard of the council building.

50 members of the National Corps NGO tried to get into the session hall in the morning arguing that this was not a sensitive facility.
"We demand Governor Savchenko to be removed pending investigation. And if he is found not guilty, he will be free to reoccupy the post," said Denys Yantar, the head of Azov’s National Corps branch in the Mykolaiv region.
The riot police initially denied access for the activists to the building but 40 members of the Azov National Corps entered the regional council at about 10 a.m.
As reported, acting General Director of Mykolaiv International Airport, Vladyslav Voloshyn committed suicide on March 18 presumably because of the pressure exerted on him by the leadership of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration including Governor Savchenko.
