Chairman of the Donetsk regional civil and military council Pavlo Zhebrivskyi held a meeting of the Action center dealing with consequences of yesterday's bombardment of Novoluhanske village.

"Five five-storey blocks, seven two-storey apartment houses, the dormitory, the ambulance station, school, kindergarten and 41 private houses were damaged," the governor wrote on social media, Censor.NET reports.

He added that the repair teams of the State Emergency Service, the police and military are involved in clearing the rubble of demolished buildings, helping people repair the roofs and cover the windows with plastic wrap.

"The EOD experts have examined the territory and defused the unexploded ordnance. The electricians have almost coped with the damaged power transmission lines and made the boiler facility operational. The heat will soon be supplied to local houses. The energy is already been delivered to the school, kindergarten, Travneva and Serhieieva Streets," the official wrote.

He said the local school, kindergarten and ambulance station were substantially damaged adding that the Action center dealing with consequences of shelling and providing assistance to the local residents (tents, field kitchen, medical assistance) is operating in the village around-the-clock. The police will also patrol the streets at night to prevent looting.

Zhebrivskyi instructed the local deputies to visit every house in the village offering assistance if needed, inform locals hiding in bomb shelters.
