President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has signed the so called law "to ban masked inspections" that was earlier adopted by the parliament. The law amends some legislative acts to ensure observance of the rights of participants in criminal proceedings and other persons by law enforcement agencies during the pretrial investigation.

As reported by Censor.NET citing Interfax-Ukraine, the president said at a Business and Government Dialogue forum in Kyiv on Friday.

"How comes that our society has it at once? It's pretty simple: to bar masked inspections. We once used this terminology, and we did it [drafted and passed the law] together. And today, at this solemn moment, I would like to sign this landmark document in your presence ," he said and signed the law.
