The Russian-occupation troops went on employing weapons banned by Minsk cease-fire deal against positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The invaders committed seven mortar strikes Oct. 29: about 50 shells hit the defenses of the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) forces.

Censor.NET reports citing the statement by the ATO headquarters press center.

"In Luhansk direction, the most intense attacks were committed at Svitlodarsk salient: the enemy repeatedly fired upon the defenders of Luhanske with 120-mm and 82-mm mortars, grenade launchers, anti-aircraft guns, and IFV-mounted weapons while positions near Novoluhanske were attacked with small arms. Several shells fired by the invaders with 82-mm mortars hit the outskirts of Novotoshkivske. The strong points in the vicinity of Troitske and Novozvanivka were shelled with grenade launchers. The defenders of Stanytsia Luhanska were fired upon with small arms.

"In Donetsk direction, the outskirts of Avdiivka came under the enemy grenade launcher strikes. The invaders used light infantry weapons to invite retaliation of the Ukrainian soldiers deployed near Krasnohorivka. The enemy UAV was recorded flying over the outskirts of Zaitseve, Travneve and, Hladosove in violation of the Minsk accords.

"The invaders breached truce along the contact line 18 times over the past 24-hour period. The ATO forces suppressed the enemy attacks with small arms and grenade launchers when necessary. No battle casualties were recorded in the Ukrainian Army yesterday," the situation report reads.

Earlier, the Russian mercenaries fired upon the Ukrainian Armed Forces' positions 27 times on Nov. 28.
