"Some details from his wife who accompanied him. Here's how she describes it: "As we came to our car after visiting friends, a gray SUV suddenly stopped by us. It probably was a Mitsubishi Pajero - I'm not quite sure since everything occurred very quickly. My husband was forced into the car after he had an armlock on him. When the SUV turned around, there was another black SUV in front of him with a police siren switched on. This took place on 28B Obolon Avenue," the statement reads.
Spokesperson for Interior Ministry Artem Shevchenko confirmed Censor.NET that Vynohrodskyi was detained on criminal charges. He promised to disclose additional details later.
