This was announced by presidential envoy on Crimean Tatar people issues, MP Mustafa Dzhemilev on air of ATR, Censor.NET reports citing Interfax-Ukraine.
"At around 10:30 a.m. attorney Nikolai Polozov said Akhtem Chyigoz and Ilmi Umrov were taken to the airport. FSB said the purpose was to sign a protocol of transferring Chiygoz and Umerov to Turkey under Turkish-Russian agreements. (...) Then they went to Anapa. At around 1:30 p.m. I got a text reading that the plane left Anapa for Ankara. (...) Then they will leave for Ukraine," Dzhemilev said and added the release of the Crimean Tatar prisoners resulted from negotiations between Erdogan and Putin.
Earlier today, Oct. 25, Censor.NET reported that members of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Akhtem Chiygoz and Ilmi Umerov, who had been illegally sentenced by Russian occupants in annexed Crimea, were extradited to Turkey.
