Ukraine's Foreign Ministry sent another request to the Foreign Ministry of Belarus in late September, in which asked to provide information on circumstances of disappearance of Ukraine's citizen Pavlo Hryb on the territory of Belarus.

This was stated by head of consulate services of Ukraine's Foreign Ministry Vasyl Kyrylych, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrinform.

Kyrylych said the Belorussian side has not yet responded.

"The Belorussian side has not provided any official information on possible detention of Pavlo Hryb on the territory of Belarus. Due to this, Ukraine's Embassy in Belarus sent another note to Belorussian Foreign Ministry in late September asking to provide information on possible detention of Pavlo Hryb on the territory of Belarus," the Foreign Ministry official said.

Pavlo's father, Ihor Hryb, said that law enforcers from Belarus told him in informal talks that Pavlo was detained in Gomel by a group of unknowns, taken to Russia, transferred to another group of people, who then took the guy to Smolensk oblast. There, Pavlo was held in custody and drafted a detention protocol against him.

Ihor Hryb said he sent official requests to Belarus.

"They responded they are conducting investigative activities into finding [the circumstances of Pavlo's disappearance]," Hryb said.

Earlier, Ukrainian reserve officer Ihor Hryb announced his son Pavlo Hryb was kidnapped by Russian FSB in Belarus: "FSB had lured Pavlo to Gomel under the guise of meeting a girl, and detained him."

On Aug. 24, 2017, Pavlo Hryb, aged 19, left for Belorussian Gomel to see a girl he met through social media, without knowing her personally, the father wrote. The girl was supposed to come from the Russian Federation. Pavlo was to return home on the same day, but he didn't. His father went to search for his son in Gomel the next day, and found that Pavlo was wanted by Russian FSB for a terrorist attack.

On Sept. 8, Hryb's attorneys said they were not allowed to see their client in Krasnodar prison.

On Sept. 13, a court in Krasnodar, Russia, arrested Hryb until Oct. 17.Источник: https://censor.net.ua/en/n459722
