This was announced by the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) HQ on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.
The HQ reported that in the evening Tuesday, major activities of Russian occupation troops was concentrated in Prymorsk direction. The enemy used not only mortars of various calibers here, but also weapons that had to be withdrawn from the contact line under the Minsk agreements.
"In the evening, the militants shelled our positions in Shyrokyne area for an hour using a portable Grad-Partizan MLRS, grenade launchers, and large-caliber machine gun. Later, not far from the same town, the enemy employed an 82-mm mortar. From 6 p.m. for two hours, the enemy was spraying a strong point of the Ukrainian Army in Talakivka using a Grad system. The militants fired 38 missiles there. In addition, showing their criminal attitude towards civilians and grossly violating the norms of the international humanitarian law, the occupants shelled residential area of Vodiane with 120-mm mortar shells two times," the report reads.
It is reported that in the end of the day, the adversary committed two grenade launcher attacks from large caliber machine guns upon ATO forces' positions in Avdiivka and Nevelske area. Ukrainian positions near Butivka mine, Zaitseve, and Maiorsk came under enemy fire as well.
In Luhansk direction, the militants attacked Ukraine's defenders in Triokhizbenka area four times using grenade launcher and small arms. The Ukrainian fighters retaliated. At around 6 p.m one Ukrainian military was wounded in the skirmish.
A total of 22 attacks by Russian hybrid troops were recorded yesterday in the Donbas. ATO forces retaliated 17 times. One Ukrainian fighter was wounded in combat, the report summarizes.
On Oct. 2, Russian mercenaries attacked Ukraine Army's positions 17 times.
