ATO report: terrorists in Donbas violated cease-fire 14 times yesterday, Ukrainian military retaliated, - ATO HQ

In the evening yesterday, the situation in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area remained tense but controlled by the Ukrainian army.

This was announced by the ATO HQ press office on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.

The HQ said the enemy focused its activities in the Avdiivka industrial area. The militants shelled the ATO defenses there using grenade launchers, large caliber machine guns, and small arms. It is stressed that the Ukrainian military retaliated and forced the enemy to abide by the cease-fire.

At around 11 p.m., Russian occupation troops fired seven missiles of 82 mm caliber not far from Pisky, and an IFV weapon not far from Zaitseve.

In Prymorske direction, the mercenaries used an 82-mm mortar and a large-caliber machine gun in Shyrokyne area.

In Luhansk direction, the only case of shelling of the Ukrainian positions was recorded in Novotoshkivske area at 11 p.m.

"A total of 14 cease-fire violations by the Russian occupation troops were recorded yesterday. During nine of them, the ATO forces retaliated," the report reads.

On Sept. 17, Russian mercenaries opened fire upon Ukrainian army positions 31 times.
