Law prohibiting entrance of foreign-registered vehicles without customs clearance to be adopted by November, - Iryna Lutsenko


The law banning foreign registered cars from entering Ukraine without customs clearance will be adopted in the upcoming three months.

This was announced by Presidential Envoy in Rada Iryna Lutsenko on air of 112 Ukraine, Censor.NET reports.

"In the near future, we have a working group in place, we will close the border to stop these transit movements, this piling up of such illegal cars in Ukraine. I believe it to be a month or two. We have to adopt a law by November banning them from entry, I mean we are stopping this flood," Lutsenko said.

She said the working group will draft a trade-off bill.

"On the cost of the customs and due payments, on fines. We are now creating conditions for moratorium for check-ups, for allegedly used punishing methods. Some moratorium period on such methods will be applied, but the border will be crossed, and a trade-off option for clearing these vehicles will be elaborated," the presidential envoy said.
