Poroshenko: Lukashenko said territory of Belarus will not be used for aggression against Ukraine


Belorussian President Alexander Lukashenko has assured his Ukrainian counterpart Petro Poroshenko that territory of Belarus would not be used for aggression against Ukraine.

As reported by Censor.NET, this was announced by Poroshenko after the meeting of the two presidents in Kyiv on Friday, July 21.

"Today, I have once again been reassured by you, Mr. President, that the territory of friendly Belarus would never be used for aggressive actions against Ukraine, and the Ukrainian-Belorussianborder would never be a border of war," the head of state said, as quoted by Presidential Administration.

Poroshenko said Ukrainian-Belorussian border "will always be a border of cooperation and peace."

An important step on that path would be the completion of the process of its legal registration, which was discussed today by the parties, Poroshenko said. The renewed Joint Ukraine-Belarus Demarcation Commission has received relevant instructions.
