Local budgets increased by 100 billion hryvnia in two years, - PM Hroisman

The prime minister said Ukraine has been making progress.

Ukraine's local budgets increased by 100 billion hryvnia ($3.86 billion) in two years. This was announced by Prime Minister Volodymyr Hroisman at a decentralization and local development forum in the Ternopil region on July 20, Censor.NET reports citing 112 Ukraine.

"We have now created instruments for uniting territorial communities, we have created financial and tax opportunities for the development of communities. Just one figure. As compared to 2014, local budgets increased by 100 billion hryvnia in 2016. These are the funds that are automatically redistributed down, funds that need to be invested reasonably in order to change the living standards of the locals. I am convinced that this is only the beginning, but even today we can say that despite the difficulties, we are making progress," the prime minister said.
