United Continentale was created in summer 2014 in Belgrade, Serbia. It criticizes NATO and EU. Its members include citizens of France, Serbia, Spain, Italy, Germany, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Latin America, the United States, and the Russian Federation. Most of them have been trained in a foreign legion and participated in wars in different locations around the globe.

United Continentale cooperated with Russian International Eurasia Movement that has been involved in forming international brigades for participation in combat activities in the Donbas alongside self-proclaimed republics of Donetsk and Luhansk.

Pretrial investigation established names of foreign mercenaries, United Continentale members, who had been members of the illegal armed gangs in the Donbas.
