Regulation committee has not recommended Rada to lift immunity of MP Deidei, says PGO motion "not enough substantiated"

The Verkhovna Rada regulation committee ruled that the PGO's motion on allowing indictment of People's Front MP Yevhen Deidei is "not enough substantiated and motivated, and does not contain concrete facts."

Censor.NET parliamentary correspondent reports.

The ruling was supported by the majority of MPs present at the discussion; two members did not vote.

"The committee believes that the motion for prosecution of MP Deidei is not enough substantiated and motivated, and does not contain concrete facts. The conclusions of the investigation are based on assumptions, and the legitimacy of obtaining evidence is doubtful, and it can not confirm the fact that Deidei committed a criminal offense under Part 3 paragraph 368-2 of the Criminal Code," the decision of the regulatory committee reads.

This means that the committee members simply return the motion to the PGO as unsubstantiated, but did not necessarily rule negatively (refused to agree for prosecution of MP Deidei).

Today, July 3, parliamentary regulatory committee considered a motion filed by Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yurii Lutsenko on agreeing to criminally prosecute People's Front MP Yevhen Deidei. The MP himself called the evidence behind the motion "fake."Источник: https://censor.net.ua/en/n446309
