Pro-Russian militants equipped new positions not far from Russian border, - OSCE


Moscow-supported separatists in the Donbas have placed antitank mines at T0519 motorway near Pikuzy village, and equipped new positions not far from the Russian border.

OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) press service told LIGA.net, Censor.NET reports.

"An OSCE mini drone for the first time recorded 13 antitank mines placed in two rows at 50 meters from each other at the T0519 motorway between the checkpoints of Ukraine's Armed Forces and "DPR" ["Donetsk People's Republic" - ed.], near Pikuzy village [former Kominternove, 23 km northeast from Mariupol, - ed.].

"Based on available satellite images, OSCE established that the territory of a shooting range in occupied Markyne area [94 km south from Donetsk - ed.] at about 4 km from Russian border has been extended by means of newly made trenches and equipped positions.

"Recon data also showed presence of six military trucks, vehicles, and 28 units of hardware, as well as new shell craters," the press service said.

On June 20, fighters of Russian hybrid army attacked SMM patrol vehicle, threatened observers with weapons, fired at their cars, and damaged glass in one of them.
