"Why me? What did I do?" - court releases "former minister" of self-styled "LPR" Baranov

District court of Kreminna, the Luhansk region, has declared not guilty former member of Pervomaisk city council Serhii Baranov, referred to by terrorists as "minister of coal industry of 'LPR'."

As reported by Censor.NET citing 5 channel, the major argument made by the judges was that the prosecution did not provide sufficient evidence to prove Baranov's involvement in creation of a terrorist group. Baranov and his lawyers managed to prove he had been forced and blackmailed into becoming a "minister."

"Why me? What did I do? There is no evidence of how this was agreed - in documents or without, who offered to participate in the terrorist organization on this post. No number, date, person who issued the appointment," Baranov said, adding that he was appointed "minister" under threats.
