PGO obtained video proving Opposition Bloc’s involvement in VDay riots in Dnipro City, - Lutsenko

About 250 hired protesters also known as titushkas were involved in attacks on the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) veterans in Dnipro City on May 9 that were orchestrated by the leadership of the local Opposition bloc party branch.

This was said by Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yurii Lutsenko as he was delivering his report to the parliament, the parliamentary correspondent for Censor.NET reports.

According to Lutsenko, the masterminds of the attacks became known after one of the apprehended titushkas had given his testimony under a plea bargain.

"Now we know who exactly organized and instructed those titushkas. Dear Opposition bloc leader, I have bad news for you. They all got orders and funding personally from Mr. Vilkul and Mr. Kolesnyk at your headquarters in the Dnipropetrovsk region. We have the footage showing all of them entering the office together (thanks to Poroshenko Bloc party, as their office is located nearby and equipped with surveillance cameras)," he said.

The prosecutor general stressed that the investigation has evidence proving this information.

"In this regard, I want to appeal to you, but so far without motion to the Verkhovna Rada, because this requires certain legal steps. I want to ask for your assistance in making your lawmakers testify truthfully in front of the whole of Ukraine and at least offer apologies for still having titushkas on your minds," Lutsenko said.
