Man who hit and killed a person in Kyiv surrendered to police, - Prosecutor's Office

A man who had been searched for alleged killing of a person near McDonald's restaurant in Kyiv's Obolon district was detained by police on May 16.

Censor.NET reports citing the press service of the prosecutor's office of Kyiv on Facebook.

The agency reported that the suspect voluntarily arrived at the local prosecutor's office in Kyiv's Obolonskyi district on May 16.

"After the man was identified by one of the witnesses, he was indicted of a murder. A petition for a pretrial measure against him is being drafted. Pretrial investigation in the criminal proceeding continues," the report reads.

On April 29, 2017, two young men started a row over public place smoking at a McDonald's restaurant near Minska metro station. One man hit another one's head with a fist, after which the attacked person fell down and died on spot. The criminal fled the scene.
