"I remind that a mobilized sniper received 600 hryvnia (about $23) per month in 2014. A sniper carrying out missions in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) zone now receives about 600 hryvnia per day. Moreover, I instructed to increase wage premium for the military personnel deployed at the forefront in the ATO zone. It should now amount to 7,500 hryvnia while the total salary may start from 15,000 hryvnia. In addition to patriotism, this is a very powerful motivation and an adequate effort of the state to take care of its servicemen," the head of state wrote.
