Russian female terrorist suspect, wanted by Interpol, detained in Ukraine's main airport

On Monday, April 17, an internationally wanted female citizen of Russia was detained while passing passport control at the Kyiv Boryspil Airport after she arrived from Amman.

"A 30-year-old citizen of the Russian Federation, wanted by Interpol and charged under part 2 of article 205.5 (organization of activities of a terrorist organization and participation in such activities) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, arrived in Ukraine from Jordan with four underage children with an aim to apply for refugee status," the message says.

The fact was reported to the Ukrainian Bureau of Interpol in Kyiv and the Security Service of Ukraine.

The woman and the children were handed over to the National Police.
