Two Ukrainian soldiers wounded in 19 militants’ attacks on March 19

The number of assaults upon positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the occupied Donbas somewhat decreased by 6 p.m. March 19. A total of 19 attacks had been recorded since midnight.

As reported by Censor.NET citing the update by the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) Staff press center, the Ukrainian troops' positions in Mariupol direction were fired upon 12 times.

"The Russian invaders attacked strongholds in the vicinity of Vodiane with high-caliber machine guns, grenade launchers, small arms, and ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft guns over the day. Large-caliber machine guns were used near Pavlopil, Shyrokyne and Hnutove.

"The enemy employed grenade launchers and machine guns against Avdiivka in Donetsk direction. The town was hit by seven tank shells around 3 p.m. One projectile destroyed a house in the town's inner suburbs.

"The enemy sniper committed attacks in the vicinity of Luhanske. Positions near this village were also fired upon with automatic grenade launchers and high-caliber machine guns.

"In Luhansk direction, the Russian mercenaries employed grenade launchers of various systems and machine guns against Ukrainian troops deployed near Novooleksandrivka and Novozvanivka.

"Two Ukrainian soldiers were wounded between midnight and 6 p.m. March 19," the situation report reads.

Earlier, positions of Ukraine's Armed Forces came under 85 militants' attacks on March 18.
