Rada calls on foreign parliaments to condemn Russia's deliberate destruction of Avdiivka

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has adopted a resolution appealing to foreign parliaments and international organizations to condemn the recent Russia-provoked spike in violence in the country's east.

A Censor.NET correspondent reports.

The document was supported by 258 people's deputies. The Opposition Bloc did not give a single vote.

The Verkhovna Rada has called on foreign parliaments and international organizations to condemn Russia for violations of the cease-fire under the Minsk agreements, the deliberate destruction of Avdiivka by Russia's irregular and regular armed groups and barbaric attacks on infrastructure critical for civilian population. The Ukrainian parliament also calls for all possible measures to be taken to promote the cessation of these indiscriminate attacks in order to prevent a humanitarian disaster in Avdiivka.
