Avdiivka’s essential services restored due to circulation pumps launch, Minister Zubko says

The minimum level of essential services in the Donetsk region’s town of Avdiivka that came under militants’ strikes has been restored. However, power supplies must be renewed to support normal life.

As reported by Censor.NET, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Regional Development, Construction and Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine Hennadii Zubko wrote on Facebook.

"The essential services have been restored due to circulation pumps launch, but this is not enough for normal functioning of heating systems. Power transmission system must be restored to provide local residents with water and heating to the fullest extent," the minister wrote.

Earlier, Poroshenko cut short his working visit to Germany because of the emergency situation in Avdiivka caused by the Russian militants' attacks.

As reported, the militants launched an offensive operation in the vicinity of Avdiivka's industrial zone on the morning of Jan. 29. Ukrainian soldiers managed to take militants' positions and gain tactical advantage at this section of the contact line after two days of battles.

The Ukrainian Army also reportedly incurred losses near Avdiivka.
