 Russian Ambassador to India Kadakin dies in New Delhi

Alexander Kadakin, 68, succumbed to a disease in New Delhi.

Censor.NET reports citing the statement by the Russian embassy in India.

Kadakin headed the Russian diplomatic mission since November 2009. Spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova confirmed the ambassador's death: "Ambassador of the Russian Federation to India Alexander Kadakin, 68, died in New Delhi today, Jan. 26, 2017."

He is the third Russian diplomat who has recently died abroad.

As reported, Russian ambassador to Turkey Andrei Karlov was shot dead during the photo exhibition opening ceremony in Ankara in December 2016. Former police officer Mevlut Altintas shot him in the back and was eliminated on the scene by the law enforcers.

Russian Consul Andrei Malanin was found dead in his apartment in Athens Jan. 9, 2017. According to the Russian embassy, he died of natural causes.
