"An indictment for treason against Yanukovych has been issued. We've had a fact. A citizen of Ukraine who is charged with treason and served as head of state appealed to the president of another country with a request to send Russian troops to the territory of our state. The indictment has been issued and will be sent to court in January. A public process will start," Matios said.

"I think we'll have a first instance court verdict within a month," he added.
