U.S. President Barack Obama believes that Russia has meddled in the U.S. electoral process.

"I think that what is true is that the Russians intended to meddle and they meddled," Obama told ABC, Censor.NET reports.

He expressed concerns over comments of some Republicans, which followed the release of the U.S. intelligence's report about Russian interference in the U.S. presidential election.

According to Obama, it seems that some Republicans are more likely to trust Vladimir Putin than their fellow citizens just because they are Democrats.

"We have to remind ourselves we're on the same team. Vladimir Putin's not on our team," Obama said.

Earlier, the U.S. Vice President Joe Biden expressed his concerns over Donald Trump's reluctance to listen to the opinion of intelligence and security services and advised Trump to "grow up."

At the same time, Donald Trump called significant attention to the recent cyber attacks a "political witch hunt".

Trump has also announced he is going to launch cyber security program. Nevertheless, he still questions the influence of Russia on the results of the U.S. presidential elections.
