Another Ukrainian defender, fighter Vitaly 'Vitek' Solomkin was killed in Ukraine-Russia war in the Donbas on Dec. 10.

As reported by Censor.NET, this was announced by the Right Sector Volunteer Corps on Facebook.

Vitaly was an ethnic Russian and lived most of his life in Western Europe. However, "he could no longer watch the chauvinist bacchanalia of the Kremlin against Ukraine," the message reads.


"He crossed the Ukraine's border illegally in July 2015 and joined the Right Sector Ukrainian Volunteer Corps. He was fulfilling his tasks between October 2016 and June 2016 at Chonhar checkpoint for the military and political activity on blocking the Crimean border.

"Since June, he has been a member of Captain Volovyk separate tactic unit of the Right Sector, in the capacity of which he participated in combat activities at positions near Avdiivka and Marinka of the Donetsk region," the post reads.

After rehabilitation from a received wound, in October Solomkin applied to the 54th Separate Mechanized Infantry Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, "with which he has been honorably defending the Ukrainian land and the country's territorial integrity until his death."Источник: https://censor.net.ua/en/n419229
