Berdianske, Shyrokyne came under heavy artillery strikes as Russian militants committed 15 attacks in ATO area yesterday, - Staff

The Russian occupation forces attacked positions of the Ukrainian troops in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) zone 15 times over the past 24-hour period.

Censor.NET reports citing the latest update by the ATO Staff press center as of Dec. 13, 2016.

According to the Staff, the Russian occupation forces continued shelling Krymske village in Luhansk direction with 120 and 82 mm mortars. Stanytsia Luhanska was fired upon with grenade launchers and small arms.

In Donetsk direction, the Russian invaders employed 82 mm mortars against Luhanske and Novooleksandrivka; grenade launchers of various systems, large-caliber machine guns and small arms - against Avdiivka and Verkhniotoretske. Sniper attacks were recorded in Luhanske village.

"The Ukrainian troops' positions in the vicinity of Berdianske came under strike with 152 mm artillery, while Shyrokyne was shelled with 122 mm guns. The militants fired at Marinka and Talakivka in Mariupol direction with grenade launchers, large-caliber machine guns and small arms.

"A total of 15 attacks were recorded yesterday, Dec. 13," the report reads.

As reported, the Russian occupation forces attacked positions of the Ukrainian military 42 times on Dec. 12.
