Ukraine will not suspend blacklist of Russia's cultural figures for Eurovision, - Kyrylenko

Ukrainian authorities are not going to cancel the blacklist of Russian cultural figures for the period of the international Eurovision Song Contest in 2017.

As reported by Censor.NET citing Interfax-Ukraine, Deputy Prime Minister Viacheslav Kyrylenko said on air of Ukrainske Radio.

"Russia has now again spread fake news, and not through Russian but European media with doubtful reputation, stating that the so-called blacklist will allegedly be cancelled for the Eurovision and all these Russian pop singers will flood in to sing here and tell us that there is no Ukraine and Crimea is originally Russian. It's a complete lie," he said.

Kyrylenko explained that the only requirement for the removal of a cultural figure from the blacklist is his/her recognition of the territorial integrity of Ukraine and Russia's aggression.
