"Over the past year, we achieved a lot. The Odesa customs office today is an example for the entire Ukraine. When I accepted this post, it was the most corrupted customs office in Ukraine; now it's an example of fast and efficient operations.

"Of course, one regional customs office will not be able to change the entire State Fiscal Service system, but this is a real push for reforms in the state. The customs terminal that had been supported by the president and guaranteed by the prime minister remains unconstructed. The Administration of the seaports of Ukraine does not report on its expenses related to the construction. Nasirov [head of the SFS - ed.] throws sand in the wheels, and the bill on open customs space has been blocked by the presidential faction [Petro Poroshenko Bloc in the parliament - ed.]. We have used up all the reform instruments, so I'm announcing my resignation," she said as quoted by the odessa.report.

Marushevka positively assessed the results of her work, including allocation of more than 170 million hryvnia ($6.54 million) for road repair in the region, purge of the agency from corrupt officials, simplification of numerous procedures, and the beginning of construction of a new customs terminal in Morskyi marine terminal in Odesa.
