Considerable progress made in PR's slush funds case: NABU ready to issue first indictments, - Sytnyk

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) has reported a significant progress in the investigation into the Party of Regions' slush funds case.

Censor.NET reports quoting NABU Director Artem Sytnyk.

"The Party of Regions' slush funds case has advanced considerably. A search was carried today as part of the case. The case is closely connected with PGO's investigations into the usurpation of power. Let's work together. The NABU is ready to issue first indictments in the Party of Regions' slush funds case," Sytnyk said.

Earlier, Petro Poroshenko Bloc (PPB) MP Serhii Leshchenko and journalists Anton Marchuk and Sevhil Musaieva-Borovyk published some of the documents proving the existence of Party of Regions' slush funds. According to the materials, the Party of Regions spent $66 million on political corruption over the second half of 2012.

Even earlier, ex-Deputy Head of the Security Service of Ukraine Viktor Trepak said he had given the information about Party of Regions' slush funds to the National Anti-Corruption Bureau.
