Saakashvili’s resignation was expected as he earlier turned down proposal to head Petro Poroshenko Bloc, - MP Leshchenko

Mikheil Saakashvili failed to implement his plans and ideas while he was heading the Odesa Regional State Administration as he previously declined the president's proposal to head Petro Poroshenko Bloc (PPB).

Member of Petro Poroshenko Bloc parliamentary faction Serhii Leshchenko wrote on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.

"Saakashvili's resignation is a logical conclusion of the first wave reformers' exodus. We see neither Jaresko, nor Abromavicius, nor Pyvovarskyi, Pavlenko, Sakvarelidze, Kasko, Zghuladze among the officials. Saakashvili leaves too now," he wrote.

"What happened was the result of efforts aimed at forcing out all those who refused to be part of a corrupt system. You can love Mikho (Mikheil Saakashvili - Ed.) or hate him, but he made Georgia worth to be proud of. Why Saakashvili had no chance to show what he could do in Ukraine? Because he declined Poroshenko's proposal to head PPB while the president never wished someone to take all his glory. Greed is a terrible thing," Serhii Leshchenko wrote.

"By the way, there is more to it. The defamation campaign was recently waged against NABU First Deputy Head Gizo Uhlava. There also were attempts to deprive him of the Ukrainian citizenship. Uhlava reliably guards Sytnik's rear at a time when corrupt officials do not hide their desire to destroy the NABU while only society can stop them," the lawmaker wrote.Источник: https://censor.net.ua/en/n413945
